RESCUE ADOPTEES
Support, advice and training for your new best friend in their forever home.
Initial Virtual (Zoom) Consultation help with settling in and advice and recommendations on training and/or behavioural issues.

Follow up 1-1 Private sessions discounted to $120 per hour plus travel.
Suitable progression for puppies from 4 months right through to adults especially for teenagers that may be energetic and challenging. Because puppies and dogs all have unique needs, the best outcome is private 1-1 training in your home, online or at my facility.

Your dog will learn that you are the most awesome person in the world so that they will want to come to you despite distractions. These sessions build the foundation for developing a life-long recall.
Sessions include:
Using games to build strong recall behaviour including working around distractions, name game, collar grab, play-break cues, management techniques and ongoing training strategies.

Relationship Walks
Suitable for puppies from 4 months right through to adult and senior dogs. Not suitable for reactive or anxious dogs.
These sessions will bring back the joy of walking together instead of not listening, pulling, sniffing or running away from you. It will cover a few different loose leash walking techniques depending on the dog. The aim is to improve your relationship and your dog’s ability to stay focused. It includes using the right equipment, different types of reinforcers, loose leash walking strategies for street walking and sniffy walks including “go sniff” as a reinforcer. The techniques are just the beginning of what is possible on walks and how it can be integrated into your daily life.

Trick Training
Suitable for puppies right through to adult and senior dogs with varying skill levels.
There is no set curriculum for these sessions/ We find out what tricks will be fun for you and your dog and individualise your tricks training plan. In this class you will learn the foundation of how to train your dog trick behaviours using techniques such as targeting, luring, free shaping and capturing.

See Snake & Run
SEE SNAKE & RUN training can be a life saver for dogs that live in areas with venomous snakes – bush and rural areas, mountains and increasingly suburban and city backyards, beaches, etc.
See Snake & Run protocol utilises positive reinforcement training to train dogs to run away from snakes in order to keep them safe. It is designed so that dogs will respond to their human in the presence of a snake or other danger under supervision. Training is not guaranteed for dogs that are left unsupervised in their yards or roaming free on sand-dunes etc. Training has been collaborated with a registered snake catcher, Veronika Ross who holds appropriate permits to provide resources and ensure safety of training.

2. See Snake & Run - Advanced
Once dogs have a proficient recall and/or targeting behaviour, dogs will learn to return to a designated safe place or to their owner with the snake as the recall cue.

It is important to understand that there are no guarantees with this training, which is applicable with any behaviour, however proofed training can greatly reduce the probability of the dog being bitten by a snake.
